Zinc-nickel coatings are normally used where conventional zinc plating is insufficient due to high temperatures or aggressive environmental conditions. Ni participation rates are approximately 12-15%. After coating, black or transparent passivation is applied to further increase the corrosion resistance. Coating thicknesses are measured by X-Ray device.
