Zinc Coating is applying a thin zinc coating over iron and steel parts. It is mainly preferred due to its cost and easiness. It is the most used coating type over ferrous metals besides the painting. It prevents usage of machinery, material, energy and work loss and it provides decorative look.
Performance Tests
Coating performance is calculated by Surface Appearance, Coating Thickness (ASTM B499), Adhesion Test, Hydrogen Embrittlement Evaluation (ASTM F519), Corrosion Resistance Test (ASTM B117).
